Platform specification and control mapping

Posted on January 7, 2025

Gamefeel

The game will feature a drag and drop control scheme, that is, when the player wants to place down a theme park ride, they can drag the ride and drop it towards the player’s chosen area. This control scheme translates well between mobile and PC systems, with their touchscreen and mouse input devices respectively.

Platforms

I am initially aiming to release my game on mobile platforms, that being iOS/iPadOS and Android. If it is feasible, I will also be looking to release the game on PC platforms like Microsoft Windows and macOS.

Engine

The game will be made in the Unity engine. This is because it is a relatively easy engine for mobile development, and also can accommodate ports for PC platforms like Windows or macOS.

Player Demographics

I am aiming for my game to appeal to fans of the tower-defence genre, particularly casual players who like to play those types of games on mobile devices.
