Character Design & Idea Change – Week 4

Posted on December 30, 2024

For the first character I made for Metal Madness, I made this tortoise character using objects that were of interest to me at the time.

Ultimately, I decided to scrap this character, as I felt it didn’t make sense within the context of my game.

As my game revolves around enemy robots, I eventually got around to making a robot design. This is the basic robot that the player tries to destroy in the game.

You can find the design process for that character here: https://year2.wsagames.com/sc18g23/2024/12/24/researching-characters/

Idea #2

It was at this point that I got suggested by my tutor, Vanissa, to make a second idea that was similar to the first idea. I went back to the drawing board, using the first idea as a basis for the second. I used the idea generator back in week 1 to come up with an idea of a tower defense game using a theme park setting.
