Week 8: Presentations

In Week 8 we were expected to give a presentation about our vertical slice, each of us giving a 2 minute speech about our role and work. We had to split our focus between creating that, and prepping for our second playtest next week.

The narrator was scrapped from the dialogue, and the cake quest was finalised with 2 endings – one where you decorate it, the other where you push it off the table.

The “elder rat” NPC tutorial guide was 3D modelled, rigged, and animated, and all NPC’s were implemented into the greybox. An idle was also added to the player avatar. The walls and tunnels between the two rooms were also modelled, and all of the whitebox was given a cel-shaded texture.

Finally, we made our presentation and had our talking points with supplementry photos, which seemed to go over well!
