Travelling Mode

During this mode, the player can travel around the train cars and the Pie car to talk and befriend the other members of the circus. When the player talks to certain players enough, and has enough successful interactions, they can befriend them and gain a new gem that they can put into the heirloom in preparation for Set-Up Mode.

Set-Up Mode

During the Performance, the player has to make sure that the performance goes smoothly by remaining unnoticed by the spotlight, and therefore the audience, as they move around the stage and backstage and move different objects and props into specific order for a perfect performance in time.

Each character has their own abilities that can benefit the player, helping them to prepare the stage faster, etc:

Win and Fail States

If Maxi is caught shapeshifted in the spotlight, he immediately fails and it results in his arrest. Over the course of the Performance, Maxi can be caught a number of times before the audience raids the stage in protest and the circus is shutdown.

This is measured by the applause meter where the maximum possible score is 100. The applause meter will also reduce by making mistakes like putting the props in the wrong order, not putting them out in time, and not tidying away in time. A perfect performance means no mistakes were made, as the applause will be at its loudest.
