This week was particularly exciting for us since we hosted our guest lecturer, Louis Torres Taifer, a veteran Unity engineer. He was willing to take the time to give us plenty of information regarding basic topics in Unity, ranging from design principles to debugging, backend coding, and adding features. Something that drew my attention while he was speaking was his experience when working on the game Peaky Blinders, which I enjoy and is my favourite TV series. It was intriguing to hear about his design decisions and troubles when making them.

Along with imparting knowledge, Louis thoroughly reviewed last week’s elevator presentation. His was a critical review and loaded with programming suggestions. One of the suggestions he offered, which I recall, was researching online plug-ins to advance our game. He emphasized that they would enable us to program more effectively and enhance the quality of the overall project.

At the end of the week, our class gave our learning and submission for the semester. As a group leader, I created a common Google Slides platform, which my members could add freely to make suggestions and recommendations. This was convenient since it gave us ample time and allowed us to provide a well-prepared presentation. I also polished my work on aspirational learning, owing to ample guidance from my classmate Ross, which made my sections more concise. Everyone was presentation-ready, apart from myself, who fell ill and could not make it. Despite being absent, my team did an excellent job, and I could still add the finishing touches to our presentation beforehand. The reaction received was fantastic, and I was delighted to discover that our colleagues reacted to our work and took reflective questions.
I observed a sense of cohesion after meeting with my team after the presentation. We had been working as one integrated unit for the entire week.

As we wait for feedback week, I am looking forward to improving our project further based on the feedback we receive. I look forward to another round of discussion with my group members and revising our game to make it the best possible.
