Inspiration

For this character, I didn’t want her to just be watered down to Genevieve’s rival. I wanted her to have flaws and have the same drive as the protagonist so it felt like the tension between them was real. My idea for her design was to parallel Genevieve’s: like the sun and the moon or light and dark.ation

A good example is Vi and Jinx’s character design in the series Arcane. In nearly every way, they are opposing: Vi has short pink hair, a muscular build, and her clothing has V motifs whereas Jinx has long blue hair, is leaner, and her clothing has X motifs. Although the style of their clothing is quite similar, their tattoos are what make their designs harmonious. Both characters have smoke/clouds or machinery tattooed on their upper body – a reference to the other.
