What can the player achieve?

Mechanics with examples:

  1. Dialogue interaction : During the dates, you will be given options that will decide if you can go on another date. You’ll know whether you’ve chosen the correct option because I’ll include a heart meter on the side to illustrate the characters moods.
  • Heart meter : Every date starts without any affection on the heart meter. Depending on the dialogue decision you make, the heart meter will either increase or decrease, and the higher the heart meter, the more likely the player will be given the option of going on another date. It’s not guaranteed exceeding a particular point will give you the option of a second date since each date has a distinct personality. So you may have to choose the correct choice more often than other dates.
  • Dialogue choice : These dialogue options will influence the outcome of your dates and whether you want to pursue the date or irritate them. Making the perfect choice can earn you affection points on the heart meter.
  • Action : Similiar to dialogue choices this can also affect the heart meter and the outcome of the date.

  1. Exploration : Throughout the game, you can click on specific objects on the date to uncover the ‘Real Violet’s’ secret dialogue, implying she knows more than she lets on. However I want this to be very subtle hint therefore it may only appear during for some time but not during the whole date.
