Violet overview – The playable and naive main character. She enjoys the concept of falling in love, as well as watching romantic films and styling herself. She frequently wears cool tones which gives of a more calm appearance. So I may try use brighter tones to convey her enthusiasm and excitement.

On the left is the first appearance of my character, the outfit was influenced by shoujo 2000 anime, which in turn was inspired by Japanese magazines from the 2000s. I first considered giving her long hair because most prominent shoujo anime female leads have longer hair, but this time I decided that giving her shorter hair would make my character appear more bold or tough. I chose these cool tones of colour because I thought they worked good together and gave the lead a seasonal feel.I applied a faint blush on her face to enhance the appearance of innocence.For the time being, I’ve only sketched this in my style; I’d like to redo it later in greater detail, with new colours and a more dramatic aspect.

On the right are the several hairstyles I could have chosen, and I decided to do a quick vote where my  friends vote on which hairstyle looked the best – the top left corner indicates the number of votes for each hairstyle, and short styled hair was the most popular.

Mood board

The anime from the 2000s greatly influenced me, and therefore I choose to use it as inspiration for my outfit. One example is the anime “Nana,” which is well-known for its distinctive punk attire. The show’s designer frequently used heavy jewellery and had many punk outfits, which have been popular in Japanese streets since the 1970s.
