I have found several sound examples on YouTube that fit the style I want for my game. I have found examples for both Non-diegetic and Diegetic sounds. I chose examples that used an 8-bit style, or similar sounds to retro pixel games.
Non-Diegetic sound
Music:
This Music example is quite soft and whimsical, with slight hints of mystery which I think all fit the Gameworld quite well. Its not intense or distracting, setting the tone for the game.
This music example is much more energetic and upbeat than the first one but I feel like it could still fit the game style, perhaps during the floristry gameplay section of the game.
This music example is starts much sadder than the first two, which would fit with the more emotional parts of the games story. The music gradually moves into a more relaxed jingle which would fit world exploration or even a credits sequence due to its slow pace.
Diegetic Sound
Objects being picked up or dropped:
Note: A softer version of this sound effect would be preferred.
Money being spent or earnt:
Dialogue sound:
Note: I would prefer if this sound effect was slowed down.
Location sounds:
These sounds would be more natural than the other examples and play alongside music.
Interaction sounds:
Sound for consuming food or drink.
Sound for opening menus.
Sound for the player movement.
