Combined process:
First I drew sketches of each camp on the survivor camp background so I could determine scale and positioning. Once I knew how each camp would look, I began drawing them. At first I stated that I wanted to draw them at the same time for ease and consistency, but in the end I found it easier to focus on one camp at a time.
Finished designs in the camp. After drawing the camps and placing them on top of the background, I noticed how light I had drawn the background. I decided I would go back in and add more depth to the background at a later date so the whole camp would be consistent.
