Game concept
No Entry After Midnight is a third person, top down adventure RPG with psychological horror elements, inspired by 1960s English circuses. Players step into the shoes of Nola, who is a starving, homeless, pick pocketer. But due to the grace of another character, they join Cirque du Pénombre, a deceptively perfect circus but soon enough, they find the secret that lies underneath the circus. After the clock strikes 12, the circus continues to perform, but for these emotionless shadowy figures wearing masks. When one of the acts fail, leading to a death, it sparks a reaction in the audience. Laughter and an animalistic form of joy.
The core of the game revolves around exploration and unveiling the secrets of the circus. The player must explore the environment, complete minigames as well as puzzles and avoid wondering audience members.
