This section will explain the second-to-second and minute-to-minute gameplay experience of the game. The main aim of the mechanics are to balance making the game as intuitive and fun as possible, as well as maintaining a high skill ceiling where players can master all of the abilities at their fingertips.
Game Loops
The general progression through levels will have quite a simple game loop: Navigate around the level and complete platforming challenges (for example, getting to a high-up platform) or platforming puzzles to discover and activate one of several Energy Beacons scattered around the level. Once this is complete they may exit the level to unlock new ones or continue playing within the levels to unlock more beacons.

Outside of levels the player will have an small hub world or room consisting of pathways to different levels as well as an altar from which to contact the Gods, who will grant new abilities as you progress through the game in a linear fashion and unlock dialogue scenes with them. More on this can be seen in the Levels page.

After all the Beacons in a world have been found, the player can still return to the level, and when collecting a beacon their time to do so will be recorded stored on a leaderboard to compare with their friends and other players globally, to appeal to more dedicated “speedrunner” players.
Player Stories
- As a player, I want to unlock new abilities, so that I can find the most optimal or fast way to complete a level.
- As a player, I love how precise the controls feel and the physics based mechanics, so I get immediate and entertaining feedback to my inputs, even when they don’t necessarily help me get to the goal.
