Week 9 – Playtesting Session II

In week 9, right before Easter, we had our second playtesting session. We introduced some of the changes based on the feedback we had received from the first session. The game seemed a lot more polished at that point but it still lacked an important feature which was the love meter. It was going to be my top priority to add it for the final showcase.

Izzy once again made a Google Feedback Form for the testers to access through scanning a QR code. We got 4 responses from the form and more feedback in-person from the players.

Regarding UI specifically, main issues were connected to Violet’s dialogue options buttons – the colour needs to be changed and the boxes can’t cover Yami’s face. One of the players felt like there were too many buttons in the UI when reading through the narrative and while all feedback is very appreciated I find the number of buttons to be just right, so I probably won’t change the design in that aspect.
