To be aware of what exactly is expected of me this semester I researched the tasks of a mechanics designer.

As the mechanics designer is a sort of a “bridge” between the programmers and artists, or all team members for that matter, it did not surprise me that it’s essential for this role to have well-developed soft skills. Mechanics designer is also expected to have knowledge of gameplay, game engines and UX/UI (which turned out perfectly in terms of this project as I was also responsible for UI design).
