Here is the feedback I received from my 1 on 1 meeting about my project:
Here were the key things mentioned in the feedback meeting:
Major and Minor Focus
Major Focus: After speaking my project through, we identified the 2 sections I should priorities is the mechanics and gameplay sections as we felt these were fundamental in portraying the games theme and essential experience.
Minor Focus: To support these sections I would need to also, as a secondary focus, need to explore the art section more in depth to help visually show my major focuses and support them in immersing the players.
Arts-Based Research
As art section is becoming my minor focus I needed to start exploring more arts based research for my project. This included things like visual style, design for Doctor Water, in addition I was recommended to start exploring visual styles in a sketchbook and seeing which style completed my games theme.
Refining Completed Work and Cross-Referencing Work
Some of the more direct feedback was needing to refine my current ideas as my current work wasn’t coherent or clear in how it portrayed the themes of Doctor Water or even how it would accomplish creating the essential experience that I wanted to player to feel. It was said that this was also because I hadn’t been cross-referencing my work throughout my documentation.
