Feedback Week!

This week is feedback week where Vanissa asked us to bring in a one page GDD giving a quick insight to what our games are about.

During my feedback Vanissa kindly made some notes for me which I will show down below as the main topics of our conversation circulated around game pillars as I wasn’t fully confident with mine so she was able to give me some pointers as to what I could think about and develop the ones I already had.

My one page GDD

This is my first draft for my one page GDD and as you can see if definitely needs some tweaks here and then but nothing that can’t be easily fixed! From here I will look at going back and editing my 3 game pillars ever so slightly just to make them more clear and concise.

Notes that Vanissa took

These were the notes that Vanissa wrote down for me. Included within the notes is a game that she recommended called “Before I forget” as I mentioned that I don’t want my game to obvious that it is made about autism within women, the way in which I described it to her was I want there to be subtle hints and so the people that get it while playing get it but if people don’t pick up on those hints that’s also completely fine as at the end I want there to be a black screen which just explains how women with autism are harder to pick out because they are so good at masking and I also might include some facts so that it brings awareness to how common misdiagnosis within women is. The other notes are more so focused on my game pillars and what I could do to focus them to be more specific.
