During our Monday lesson we had a talk from Jupiter, followed up by us having to create a quick elevator pitch to try sell our game to Sophie & Jupiter.

Following on from the week before where we filled out a bug report, I quickly made a google form that people could fill out and give us general feedback / If they had found a bug to write a report for it.
Feedback
From the google form here were some of the key takes/general feedback that directly applied to me as the environmental artist as well as the narrative writer:
- Some of the dialogue for him didn’t correspond to the options
- Good game, I wish I could play the narrative through further
- Strong aesthetic
- Engaging Narrative
- Some typos in text (spaces between sentences, missing capital letters)
- I’d say possibly add some more dialogue options on the player’s end and have possibly a telltale pop up to say like “*enter name here* will remember that” but overall cool!
- The dialogue was quite cool and matched the stereotypical bad boy. maybe it would benefit from more dialogue choices and the game is very visually appealing.
- I really like the art style it’s really good
- I love the art style and the colors of it, looking forward to the complete version of it! 🙂
Another comment which wasn’t on the form was that Yami wasn’t centered in terms of the environment as shown below, which luckily was a quick fix as I was able to just extend the left side of the café.

Overall the feedback we received was positive and all the feedback we received was very helpful and so our next steps will be to write down everything and begin to prioritise what needs to be fixed first and then follow on from there. It was really nice having some of the 3rd years play test our game because they’ve been our position before so having their feedback was really useful, it was also nice having Sophie and Vanissa play test our game as Sophie tried to break our game and Vanissa gave us some food for thought.

Here were my weekly tasks for the week, I didn’t get as many as I wanted done but that was due to me prioritising having everything sorted for the play testing session
