Naming My Game

Creating a name

I began the process of naming my game by jotting down words that were associated with autism within women. After, I started to circle certain words that I thought I could explore further when thinking of a name for my game. The main two being Masking & Camouflaging. Part of me knew from the very beginning that masking was going to play a huge part in my game idea as it’s what initially brought me into the topic. So after that I started brainstorming potential game titles that linked to the term masking.

Once I had noted down some ideas my next steps were to select the options that I preferred most, and that I thought were most appropriate to my game as a whole. It was also important to keep in mind the general premise of what makes a good game name e.g. easy to remember & links closely to game etc.

After much deliberation I came down to the final three “We go unnoticed” , “Can you see me?” & “False Front”. I decided to go with…. False Front! This was because the alliteration made it quite catchy and I felt like it captured the term masking quite well and so moving forward this is now what my game is called.

FINAL GAME NAME: FALSE FRONT
