Here we are, the last week for this project! Wow it’s been an experience this semester that’s for sure. I’ve definitely had my ups and downs for this project as again it was a whole new process that I had to learn and adapt to but I can finally say that it has been completed to the best of my knowledge and efforts. I really pushed myself this semester to keep wanting to improve and so within the last weeks when I was able to receive feedback, straight away I made sure to go and make a start on those changes. I tried something a little bit different this semester with going down the route of touching on a topic which is a bit more sensitive than perhaps other topics that I could have gone with but it tested me and hopefully it can be seen within my work the effort I put in to make this game really work and display what I wanted to achieve.
In this last week we had a joint event with year 1 which I will try include some pictures down below!
I hope you have enjoyed looking through my process documentation and GDD and I hope that this can inspire anyone who also at some points feels a little bit lost :))
Some feedback on my Promotional Video
It only felt right to begin showing my promotional video to the friend that I conducted an interview with during this project, as her experience helped aid the narrative and so I felt the need to have her be the first person to fully view the video. This was her feedback: “Ahhh i love this, it sounds really fun and I love the colour palette too. I’m genuinely so excited to hear more about your game it’s going to be amazing”
After hearing her feedback it really made feel like I had accomplished what I set out to do and it felt like a small seal of approval as someone who is a female and deals with autism had a positive reaction to the trailer.
Update: Event got cancelled which was a shame, but allowed me to continue with work.
