Week 3 was all about Teamwork & Collaboration! Which is very fitting for what went on this week.

Here was my initial plan for week 3 which as you can see I was able to get the majority of my tasks completed, however you may see the the mermaid café is still not finished which is explained further below

On our Monday’s lesson we had a quick catch up with Vanissa where we looked into understanding our team mates as well as looking at key skills that we should consider when working within a team. To the side you can see our group activity that we carried out.

So here is where the week had a little bit of a blip, during Sophie’s Thursday lesson we were discussing what we had done out of the things we had told her last week we were going to do. This is where I showed her the Mermaid café and the starting concept of Violet’s bedroom. Then this is where it went a little down hill, or not as planned.. So it was here when Sophie mentioned how the colour palettes didn’t quite match up and so we came to the realisation that the colour palettes did not go.. like at all. Whereas Yami was in bold and warm tones the café was literally the polar opposite being cool toned and pastel colouring, which was neither artists fault as we were both following the GDD and it happened that they just didn’t quite go.
So how are we going to resolve this?
Jessie suggested that because they are warm and cool toned why don’t we both try and make a cool toned Yami and a warm toned Café which I thought was a really good idea, and so that was my plans for the rest of the week to go and do a couple of iterations of a warmer toned café. To also help with the issue myself, Paula and Sophie are going to have a little meeting on Tuesday to hopefully help get our artwork to coincide with one another more smoothly.
Here you can find the resolution to this slight issue: https://year2.wsagames.com/is3g23/⋆creating-a-colour-palette⋆/
