Dev Week 9


In Week 9, we had another playtest. But the walls and tunnels were still in development for a large part of that week, and the majority of the whitebox assets still hadn’t been given physics or collisions. Adding to that, the animations had been created in the greybox, and there wasn’t enough time to recreate them in the whitebox. So, sadly, we weren’t able to use the whitebox for the second playtest.

I spent the rest of the week texturing and giving as many objects collisions as I could. However, the playtest now just felt like a waste for me. I wanted to see if my level was any good, if people enjoyed the new design, and whether they were able to intuitively find places like I planned. I was discouraged, and glad for the Easter break so I could come back with renewed motivation.
