I continued work on the whitebox, but my enthusiasm was stunted by the lacklustre design of the living room. Instead I made a start on the kitchen, blocking out the cabinets and kitchen island, and modelling the fridge, although none of it was finished in time for the playtest. The most I created for the living room was a little computer station that was very reminiscent of the 2000s, as well as some shelving, and an extra sofa and table to go by the fireplace. It felt pointless to work on it too hard as I hated the look of it so much.
Looking back, I should have raised my concerns more firmly, because it was impacting my workflow – although I do understadn why we went ahead with the second draft floorplan for the time being, as I didn’t have any better ideas at the time.
