The market research for PARANOIA will be important, because in order for a game to be popular it has to resonate with its target demographic. My demographic will be fans of horror, and will probably skew younger at people in their 20’s.
This is what I found out using the linked studies:
- Fans of horror tend to be between the ages 18-35
- Fans of horror videogames consider gaming to be their hobby
- 18-35 year olds also consume a broad range of media from social platforms such as Facebook and Instagram
- Horror players tend to play predominantly on PC due to proximity to the screen heightening fear response
