Initial Design
Started of with three different styles I was thinking of, the first was a realistic version of a astronaut suit, the second was a more robotic concept inspired by some Pinterest designs I saw. The third was a simple but hazmat like look that was inspired by the backrooms.
Solace
I eventually decided to develop the hazmat suit design for various reasons, mainly because I was going for a creepy but simple design that would create that backrooms like atmosphere. I called the character Solace since I thought it fitting based on its circumstances. I was a bit conflicted on the backpack, I kind of had two designs on the page. I felt like the more rounded smaller design was more of what I was going for first but when drawing the sitting pov the backpack would barely be visible. I decided to make a more realistic rectangular backpack.
