Game overview

The World

In my world the Nazi party gained power after WW2 in an alternative year of the 70s in a fictional country inspired by Poland and America, where now protests happen commonly against the regime and fascist ideologies create barriers to minorities and individuals who are not German, this is seen through the concertation camps and bodies scattered in the map and posters.

The look of the game:

(digital art Piskel)

top down drawing of a concentration camp in my game, show casing the protagonist (the man with the blonde hair vacuuming) clearing the body of a dead individual, many concentration camp prisoners died through attempting to escape and an enemy, the one holding a gun and with a depiction of the SS Nazi uniform.

Top down shoot and loot

The demographic

Aimed for the demographic in their twenties -thirties, not meant to be educational rather a dark comedic answer to the ‘What If’ question ‘if the Nazis won the second World War and how it would look as a Darkly humorous engaging game. The game’s need of basic prehistorical context before playing to understand the protagonist fully and the impact of the endings. A shoot and run game with slightly reliant on stealth aspects with a partly serious plotline with silly gameplay and goals. Meant to envision a dystopian future with a pixel art-style purposely to not be too realistic and allow for more creativity in colours and exaggerating character behaviours. Games which I envisioned while thinking of my game’s art and gameplay like aspects, ‘Enter the Gungeon’ and ‘Hotline Miami’:

Game’s objective

The Activation Orb’s reliant on corpses to feed it and grow, progress through the levels and kill enough Nazis to feed the activation core and eventually it would become so powerful it would be able to blow up the entire Fuhrer’s tower, ending tyranny for good… or not

(The protagonist)

The protagonist gender is a He but open for a change if needed. A slim sportive individual with rage towards the Nazi tyranny. Not much is known about him other than his real name is John Hamburg which is hidden throughout the game like the character’s origins not much is known after the war or of his parents which are only hinted depending on which ending you get.

Meaning behind my game’s title

My game’s title refers to the tattoos that concentration camp members forced to have, the name symbolizes how like the tattoos they were given by the Nazis the hatred and fear towards the tragedy they inflicted never truly rubs off which is a key premise in my game when considering my protagonist and their actions.
