The following posts will touch upon the aesthetic design of Arcadia.

Character Mood boards

The Knight

Demon King

Ice Queen

Jester

Prisoner

The Young Boy

The Father

Initial Design of the Knight

After some self-reflection and asking peers about this design, I had decided on a few things that must be changed for the final design.

  • Firstly, This design felt too clunky for a character who would be exploring a large map and area
  • There wasn’t enough potential for colour in order for it it to be a convincing toy for a young boy
  • Severe lack in variety for the material of the armour, it was either under garments or steel plating
  • It’s silhouette was too simple and uninteresting, good characters always have distinct features.

NOTE: I couldn’t find the finished original design with finished line art and colour
