Gameplay

Posted on November 29, 2024December 21, 2024 by et4g23

Arcadia is a 3D, Third-person, Action-adventure RPG game – the core gameplay loop is heavily inspired by The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Elden Ring. Explore a vast world as a renowned Knight, defeat enemies and take back the princess of your Kingdom.

What does the player do?

The player sets out to save the Princess of the Kingdom, in doing so, defeat countless enemies and slay the Demon King that has been a constant threat to Arcadia – the world in which the game takes place – for as long as time itself. Explore the world and the many interactions the Knight has with it, meet friendly NPCs and violent enemies.

However, this journey is also that of a young boy – Each area and boss that the player encounters is a manifestation of this boy’s fears and abuse. This game is a story about the hardships, resilience and triumphs of a young child. Vanquish all of the demons that infest Arcadia and help the boy recognise his abuse in order to seek help.

Objectives

Explore Arcadia to find out where the Princess is being held captive, defeat the Demon King in order to free her of his wicked grasp. However, his Generals also roam the lands, will you purify the lands and eliminate them all or prioritise the safety and well-being of the princess.
