As I said before, I have 5 total levels planned. I want to explore the dynamics between different types of humans and their relationships and show how these interact with your Rat player character. These are all WIP but I’ve completed one of the households with the first level characters.
If you are unfamiliar with how archetypes work in my game, please refer to the Gameplay section of my GDD.

Level 1: Evie and Eden
- If Evie sees you, she will freeze and alert her sister by screaming. If you manage to jump on her, she will faint.
- If Eden sees you she will try to crush you because she isn’t afraid of rats.
- If you start running, she’ll chase you around the house but be mindful of your stamina bar because you’ll eventually slow down and be caught.
- You have to hide and sneak stealthy, however, she will know that you’re in the house so she’ll follow her daily routine while looking out for you.
- On this level, you can hide behind the old counters with ways to sneak in and out of different corners of the house and shortcuts to different rooms
- If you fail to get food the first day, you can try again the next day, be mindful of your hunger bar slowly depleting, don’t let it get to 0.
- However, if you try again the next few days, the level will be made harder, there will be traps set and if you get to the highest difficulty, they will call an exterminator who will give u a game over the second he sees you as he is an expert, however, there IS a way to outsmart him…
- E.g. As the difficulty rises, the sisters may live in traps, poisoned bait food and noise repellent or even hire a cat to take care of their rat problem.
- The cat would act like the exterminator (however it is hard to run away from as it can smell and hear your footsteps and it’s a hunter cat) but can be outsmarted if you see its weak points or distract it in some way.

Level 2: A Family (Mother, Father and a son)
- The son will want to keep you as a pet so watch out for him.
- He is benevolent, but dangerous as he is a young child who wants to play with you.

Level 3: Mad Scientist
- This level will be a mad scientist who likes to do weird experiments on things so watch out for her.
- If she sees you, she will want to experiment on you.
- Her house is full of different traps and items that are harmful to you but not to her.
- Normal State: Eccentric and Curious, Benevolent personality
- Engaged state: Tracks you down and promises to keep you safe, but tries to experiment on you which will hurt you slowly until you die.
- Level of Threat: High

– Normal State: Quiet, Benevolent personality. Her cats will have human archetypes assigned to them across all 4, so you have to figure out their archetypes and avoid the malicious ones.
