My game is targeted towards young adults and teens. Considering some of the more mature themes surrounding the characters and narrative i feel as though the game should be rated 12+. Character death, illness and vague imagery surrounding these topics are all reasons why i feel as though this age rating is suitable. Although the game is suitable for anyone aged 13 and above it is best suited for people 16 and above. The reason for it being ‘pegi 12’ despite this is the gameplay but also the fact that the imagery and narrative surrounding these topics aren’t graphic or in much detail.

Warnings:

  • Death
  • Illness
  • Family trouble

The game will be available on both console and pc upon release, the simplistic graphics and playstyle ensure that all aspects can be translated well onto other platforms. Cosy games with similar playstyles and aesthetics sell well on console platforms, this is why i have decided it should be available for this demographic of players. It will also ensure the game is well suited towards more casual players as that is a big part of the marketing revolving the game. In the future i could see this game being adapted for a mobile device, but for now as the creator i don’t feel as though that is necessary and games such as this released on mobile from release tend to not garner as much popularity.

Price:  £14.99

I want the price to be more accessible for the more casual style of players whilst also still being within a reasonable price range. Based off of other story based games and their prices i thought as though  £14.99 was a suitable price. It is considerably cheaper then similar games released from triple a games companies but it stands within the average rang for newer games released by indie developers. Also developing and releasing a game on both console and pc increases the price, this set price is marginally cheaper then its similar games promoted on the Xbox or PlayStation store.
