Overview/Premise:
Forsaken Hex follows a newbie unnamed witch (relatable to all players, gender-neutral) traversing the lands of The Spirit Yonder to find a coven to which they feel that they belong. They encounter a mysterious Coven that they haven’t seen before that catches their eye. After conversing with the leader of this coven, to join their coven you must complete an initiation task to prove you have what it takes to contribute to this collective and be a valuable asset.
The game’s narrative is conversed in text-only formats, with no spoken dialogue.
A witch is doing her initiation, ordered to harvest souls for ritual. The climax is that they are all human/alive/creatures. Narrative path is the choice to continue with the initiation and ignore morals (evil) or deviate and free them instead (good). Different endings based on players choice throughout the duration of the game.
Forsaken Hex is set in the mystical lands of The Spirit Yonder, separated into 4 different areas home to different creatures that fit within the physical aspects of that environment. The Coven resides in the graveyard area, the last section of the game.
The narrative and players’ experience will change depending on the path they choose to follow, the different paths also allow for replayability as completionists would want to see all endings.
